Found Dogs

My debut picture book has been a work in progress for the last few years. It's finally finished and it's out in the big wide world! Found Dogs made its way onto bookstore shelves in July, 2017. It was published by Dial Books for Young Readers and, yes, it has a little Penguin on its spine!

Found Dogs has been a journey for me--writing picture book text for the first time, and loosening and softening my illustration style to appeal to a broader and younger audience. But more importantly, this book has enabled me to address a topic that's always been dear to my heart--that of shelter dogs waiting for their forever homes.

Book Summary

Found Dogs is a counting and reverse-counting book for kids aged 2-5. Readers will count up all the sweet pups at the shelter and then count them back down as they are lovingly adopted.

Friendly . . . cheerful . . . An unusual counting book that goes beyond the basics, providing opportunities to reread and recount in different ways.
