ILLUSTRATIONS FOR HIGHLIGHTS

Over the last couple years I've had the privilege of creating a number of illustrations for Highlights Hello, Highlights High Five, and Highlights High Five Bilingüe magazines. These are Highlights' publications for babies, toddlers, and very young kids.

Highlights Hello Magazine: Find It

"Find It" is an activity for little ones to identify objects in an image. On the opposite page, three objects are shown (in this case, the pie, the turkey, and the green mug). Published in Volume 4, Issue 11 (November, 2016) of the magazine.

Highlights High Five Magazine: Ready, Set, Go!

"Look and Look Again," a spot-the-differences style activity, for the October, 2016 issue. Of all Highlights activities, I loved these the most as a kid, so I've been beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to illustrate some of my own! Click on the image to alternate between the two versions of the illustration and to spot the differences between them.

Highlights High Five Bilingüe Magazine: Cooling Off

"Look and Look Again," a spot-the-differences style activity, for the August, 2015 issue. Click on the image to alternate between the two versions of the illustration and to spot the differences between them.

Highlights High Five Magazine: Big Stretch

Spot illustrations for the magazine's May, 2015 "Action Rhyme" activity. Each kitty accompanies a photograph of a child performing the stretching activity depicted in the text and illustration.

Highlights High Five Magazine: Jump Jump!

Another set of spots for an "Action Rhyme" activity. These guys appeared in the July, 2015 issue.

OTHER CHILDREN'S MAGAZINES

Cousteau Kids Magazine: Sea Queries

Spot illustrations for Cousteau Kids Magazine's Spring 2015 issue. They accompany articles about brittle stars' regenerative limbs, dolphins' names for one another, sharks that bear live young, and lobsters that grow very big and strong.
