Pre-K and Kindergarten

For little ones I offer 45-minute programs featuring my books MAIL DUCK and MAIL DUCK HELPS A FRIEND that include a reading, some movement, and a hands-on art activity.

The MAIL DUCK session focuses on the themes of community helpers and gratitude. The MAIL DUCK HELPS A FRIEND session focuses on how we can all be helpers in our homes, schools, and communities.

Elementary

For the K-5 crowd I offer art workshops that use my books and magazine illustration work as inspiration. Kids create their own unique, independent illustration projects after brainstorming, sketching, and creative problem solving.

I also offer a behind-the-scenes talk that shares the process of making a book and what the career of an illustrator-author is like.
